The Hungry Wolf Under The Dragon's Thunder ch two
"Power Wave!"
"Ha-Do-Ken!"
My spark of gold energy traverses acrosse the ground while a flying energy shot is going towards Wave and the two projectiles cancel each other out.
"Power Wave!"
"Ha-Do-Ken!"
This is going nowhere, at this rate, our battle will last days if we just keep throwing our projectiles one after another. I gotta try something else!
"Power Wave!"
"Ha-Do-Ken!"
"Burning Knuckle!"
Good! I got him off guard and I'll have a perfect hit with my Knuckle! But......
".....what.......I missed.......where'd he go?" I said to myself as I realized where he was....somewhere really crucial to a good assault.......behind me......
"Kyah! Huh! Ha-Do-Ken!" I heard Ryu yelled as he jumps-in with a roundhouse blow then a medium stretch kick two-in-oned with his fireball, and boy that kinda stings......notice how i said stings.....heh.
"Lucky shot! My turn! Crack Shot!"
I turned a full 360 degrees with my legs making a circular motion vertically. This move is usually a good anti-air attack but it works well against grounded opponents. I expected him to block the kick so I planned to do a faster, yet weaker one, just so I can hit him. Boy was I wrong.
"Crack Shot!"
"Sho-Ryu-Ken"
His fist rised as it connects with my face! His Sho-Ryu-Ken, or Dragon Punch, is another of his signature moves, one that I've heard he's perfected. Well, from the way his punch felt, that made me a believer. I decided to roll away and safe fall from him but he obviously is a lot better at predicting moves than I am, because right after started my safe fall, he ran towards me and did his stretch kick. Man! This guy may be more than I bargained for.
"What's wrong Mr. Bogard........you're lacking focus. I expected more from the Legendary Hungry Wolf." Ryu said. His voice didn't have a real tone, although it wasn't melancholy. I guess you can say it was a true fighters tone, but I'm only guessing.
"Be careful of what you wish for. Cuz you might just get it!" I replied trying to show him that I had something in my sleeves for him, but I really had nothing in my mind. Maybe some more Power Waves and Burning Knuckles.
"Power Wave!"
"Enough! Shinkuu Ha-Do-Ken!"
"Burning Knuck-" My voice was replaced by the impact with his Super Combo. It was an odd feeling, as if I was getting sucked into the blast and then some force knocked me away. I was gasping for breath a bit, since it knocked the wind out of me, which doesn't really happen this early in a fight. Could this guy be that powerful?
"I know the..............surge fist part...........but.........my Japanese is a bit..............rusty..........what does......Shinkuu mean?"
"Vacuum"
That would explains my condition.
I quickly sucked in huge breaths of air to regain my composure. I figured that my Power Wave and Burning Knuckle combo isn't exactly the thing to use against the warrior. I'll try a Power Dunk.
"Take my..........Power! Dunk!"
"Sho-Ryu-Ken!"
Damn! His damn punch is a hell of an anti-air! It knocked my high up into the air while I was in mid-air! S***! And here I was trying to look cool turning my hat backwards as I jumped and forced myself down doing a aerial version of the Burning Knuckle. He's right about me focusing. I just didn't have any of it.
"Perhaps we should fight some other time Mr. Bogard. It seems you are immensely tired."
I didn't know what he was talking about. Then I yawned. That creeped me out a bit. He knew I was sleepy before I did....talk about predicting moves......
"Will you like another match tomorrow?" I clumsily said.
"If it would bring you to tip top shape." Ryu answered.
"All right! I guess I should get some shut eye."
I was about to walk away and return home, but then I notice Ryu was in a state of pain. I didn't even hit him once. I wondered what the heck is wrong with him. So I decided to walk up to him. I saw that he was grabbing his head. I tried to get a glance at his face to see if he could hear me. His eyes were all bloodshot red, and his skin was turning darker like as if he was at a tanning salon.
"Are you okay Ryu? Looks like you need some sleep too dude." I said jokingly.
Then I noticed he was suddenly in a black colored gi and looking at me with a threatening gaze.
"Power Wave!"
